Today, 29 May 2024, is the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874-1936).
He had a strong connection with the Diocese of Leeds through his friendship with local priest, Fr John O’Connor (1870-1952), who was his inspiration for ‘Father Brown’ and who received him into the Catholic Church in 1922.
