At Catholic Care we are looking to recruit a passionate and committed Senior Support Worker.  Someone who believes that it is the fundamental right of everyone to be treated in a way that respects their dignity and privacy.

In our homes we provide care for people from different cultural and religious backgrounds, to enable integration to the local community

Salary: Spinal Point 8 – 12  currently £19,945 – £21,589 (dependent on qualifications  and experience)

Post: Full Time Position (shifts patterns to include weekends and bank holidays)
Sleep in allowance payable

Job Profile

You would be required to work, in a person centred way, to lead and be part of a team to help and support tenants to enhance their skills and ability and to assist them in making choices and decisions.

Experience and Qualifications

You must have achieved or be prepared to work towards a minimum of Level 3 Diploma, in Health as Social Care (Adults) and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with people who have a learning disability.

You will be required to have effective computer and IT skills.

We wish to appoint two organ tutors to work in our acclaimed Organists’ Training Programme from January 2020. These new posts will help to expand the Programme (currently numbering some 60 pupils) further across the Diocese.

The Head of Operations is an entirely new role that encompasses “whole organisation” objectives to lead and manage the critical functions of the Charity to deliver the highest quality services and to act as an integral part of the newly formed Strategic Leadership Team.

The team has the full support of the Board of Trustees to meet the additional need for the Charity’s leadership resource to enable it to meet its strategic objectives. It is envisaged the increased capacity within the Charity will enable it to develop its current services and to take advantage of opportunities to create new services and so reach out to more people in need.

Our Choral Scholarships offer superb opportunities for ambitious students looking to develop a range of professional-level musical skills. Leeds Cathedral Choir is acknowledged as one of the finest in the country and sings daily services, with the Choral Scholars singing on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
