Safeguarding in the Diocese of Leeds: please tell us how we’re doing!

Diocese of Leeds Safeguarding and the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) would like to hear YOUR views on current Safeguarding practice and processes in our Diocese!

Please take a few minutes to share YOUR thoughts by completing the Survey Form HERE before 15 July 2024.

The Survey is very short – just two questions – and it’s totally anonymous, unless you choose to provide your name or other identifying information.

Whether you are a parishioner, volunteer, or employee in the Diocese of Leeds – whether you have many roles or none, the CSSA welcomes YOUR thoughts about ANY aspect of Safeguarding within our Diocese.

We are particularly interested to hear from victims and survivors of abuse, whether you have previously had contact with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team or not.  Survivors of abuse in other Catholic dioceses have been interviewed by the CSSA, such as ‘Rebecca’, a member of the CSSA’s Survivor Panel, whose encouragement for you to complete the Survey can be read HERE.

The Diocese of Leeds and the CSSA are committed to ensuring that support is available to any person who has experienced abuse within the Church environment; free and independent support is available from Safe Spaces.

If you would like to speak to someone at the CSSA, simply leave your contact details within the Survey Form and they will contact you directly.  More information about the CSSA’s audit programme and a privacy notice can be found HERE.

If you need to know a bit more about Safeguarding in the Diocese of Leeds before completing the CSSA Survey please visit the Safeguarding pages of the diocesan website.
