Welcome to the Leeds Diocesan Youth Service
“You, dear young people, are not the future but the now of God.”
Pope Francis – World Youth Day Panama 2019
The Diocese of Leeds Youth Service seeks to evangelise, encourage personal relationship with Our Lord, to build character and inspire, to provide opportunities for fellowship, to deliver faith formation, to promote discipleship and to integrate our young people into the life of the Church. We try to do this by facilitating the Faith in Action Award Scheme, supporting Parish youth groups, Lay Chaplains in our schools and holding youth events throughout the year as well as providing daily Bible verses, reflections, opportunities and general communication through our various social media platforms. We are also giving young people in our diocese, the opportunity to get involved with faith building events at local, regional, national and international levels as well as providing faith formation and leadership training to young people across the Diocese. We are supported and guided in our mission by The Twelve, the Diocesan Youth Leadership Team, who provide a voice to young people in the Diocese and work in collaboration with Bishop Marcus.
