New Candidates to train for Permanent Diaconate

13th November 2017

New Candidates to train for Permanent Diaconate New Candidates to train for Permanent Diaconate New Candidates to train for Permanent Diaconate

Friday 3rd November was a very special evening for James Aitchison and Alan Salada and their families as the Bishop admitted both men to Candidacy for Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate at Evening Prayer in the Chapel of Hinsley Hall.

Admission to Candidacy for Ordination as a Deacon is where the Church recognises the seminarian as worthy of being ordained and the man publicly voices his will to offer himself to God and the Church. It is seen as the intentional beginning of a man’s final period of preparation.

Mr Aitchison and Mr Salada have already undergone one year of study and have another three ahead of them before they become Deacons.

We continue to pray for vocations to the Consecrated Life.
