St Mary’s celebrates parishioner’s year as Mayor of Knaresborough!

St Mary’s Catholic Church in Knaresborough held Sung Sunday Vespers to celebrate parishioner Helen Westmancoat’s year as Mayor of Knaresborough. In attendance was the Leader of  North Yorkshire Council and local Mayors from Harrogate and Tadcaster.

Here’s the event in pictures (Helen is in red and standing on the right in the first photograph) …

During Helen’s year as Mayor, she enthusiastically supported one of our Diocesan Laudato Si’ Mini-Pilgrimages from St Mary’s to St Robert’s Cave and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Crag, providing Knaresborough’s Town Guides for the pilgrimage, who gave pilgrims the benefit of their knowledge, wit and wisdom!
