Sunday 10 May marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Cardinal Arthur Roche’s episcopal ordination. It was on this day in 2001 that he was ordained a bishop by the then Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor, in a ceremony at Westminster Cathedral.
For the next twelve months he served as Auxiliary Bishop in the Diocese of Westminster, prior to his appointment as Coadjutor Bishop of Leeds. In 2004 he succeeded Bishop David Konstant and became the ninth Bishop of Leeds.
Warmest congratulations to Cardinal Roche on his silver jubilee. Ad multos annos!
