Honouring Our Lady in Ossett

The weather blessed Fr Sean Crawley and his parishioners at St Ignatius in Ossett with glorious sunshine on their Procession in Honour of Our Lady, during her own month of May!

After Holy Mass, the statue of Our Lady was carried in procession by four parishioners, accompanied by servers, children, the Union of Catholic Mothers (UCM), Fr Sean, Fr Noble Joseph and many members of the Parish Family. Following the May Procession, there was a shared lunch in the Parish Centre.

In describing this event, so redolent of our Catholic heritage, as well as being a public witness to the Goodness, Truth and Beauty of our Faith, parishioners agreed: ‘It was truly a joyful celebration of faith and community; long may this cherished tradition continue!’
