First Holy Communion at St Wilfrid’s in Ripon

There was standing-room-only in St Wilfrid’s Church in Ripon, as young people from the parish received their First Holy Communion.

The Mass was celebrated by Parish Priest Fr Ian Smith and the Children’s Choir from St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary led the singing, including a full Mass setting by Tom Leech, Director of the Diocesan Schools Singing Programme. The Musical Director is Amy Howell and the Organist was Will Campbell.

After Mass, there was time to admire the presentation gift given to each First Communicant, take photographs of the children’s special day, and continue the celebrations with tea and cake in the Parish Centre.
