Caring for our Cathedral, Today and Tomorrow

The new Leeds Cathedral Building Fund is being launched on Sunday 7 November when volunteers will be on hand after Mass to encourage people to support this new initiative. At the present time funds are urgently needed in order to carry out essential repairs and refurbishment work, both inside and outside the Cathedral. The total cost of these works will be in the region of £140,000.

The present Cathedral has been the mother church of our Diocese for nearly 120 years and without the contributions from parishioners and the people of the Diocese it would never have been built. Now regarded as one of the finest Catholic churches in the country, without our contributions it cannot be maintained and preserved for the future.

It is now possible for people to show their commitment to caring for the Cathedral by taking out a Standing Order with their bank to make regular donations to the Building Fund. You can also donate on-line using a dedicated Just Giving page which can be found by following this link: www.justgiving.com/campaign/Cathedral

If you would like any more information about the Fund, Standing Order arrangements or details of other ways to make a one-off or regular donation please email Anna Larkin on anna.larkin@dioceseofleeds.org.uk or telephone 0113 261 8028.

Alternatively you can send a cheque, payable to Diocese of Leeds – Mother of Unfailing Help, to: The Cathedral Secretary (Building Fund), Cathedral House, Great George Street, Leeds LS2 8BE.
