Ordination to the Diaconate at Leeds Cathedral

On Saturday 29 November Bishop Marcus ordained  Mr Dominic Williams, as a Permanent Deacon for our diocese, at Leeds Cathedral. The Ordination Mass was attended by priest and deacons from the diocese and the congregation included family and friends of the new deacon, who celebrated the Ordination afterwards in Cathedral Hall.

Following his Ordination to the Diaconate the Bishop appointed Rev Dominic Williams as chaplain to St John’s Special School in Boston Spa. Dominic succeeds Fr David Murray who until August was chaplain to the school. As the parish priest of the parish in which the school is located, Fr Sean Molloy has kindly agreed to celebrate Mass and be available for sacramental confessions at the school.

Dominic will also assist in the Pontefract and Wakefield Deanery. He is a parishioner at Ss Peter and Paul, Sandal.

Ad multos annos!
