St Kateri Tekakwitha (1656-1680)

In 2012, St Kateri was canonised by Pope Benedict XVI, becoming the first Indigenous American saint. She is known as ‘The Lily of the Mohawks’ and her Feast Day is celebrated today in our own country and in Canada, but on 14 July in the United States.
