On Sunday 15 August 2021 at 8am one of our priests, Fr Elliott Wright of St Robert’s Parish in Harrogate will be presenting an act of worship to mark the Feast of the Assumption, which will be broadcast across ALL BBC Local Radio Stations.

The programme, which was recorded in July at Leeds Cathedral, features hymns and choral music from Leeds Cathedral Girls Choir and Bradford Catholic Youth Choir, conducted by Director of the Diocese of Leeds Schools Singing Programme (SSP),Tom Leech.

There will also be readings, prayers and reflections from some of our young Choristers and from the SSP’s Assistant Director, Charlotte Kitson.

The programme has been produced by BBC Radio Leeds’ Andrew Edwards – but will be transmitted simultaneously on each of the BBC Local Radio Stations in England.

Across our Diocese, that will be BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio York, BBC Radio Humberside, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC Radio Lancashire.
