Next Sunday, 1 October, a weekend of intensive singing workshops will culminate in a performance given by the young singers of Leeds Cathedral Choir and members of The Sixteen, a world-famous choir, and its young artist programme, Genesis Sixteen.

The performance will feature some of the great choral works of the Renaissance – including music by English composers Thomas Tallis and William Byrd – and new music by Sir James MacMillan and the Master of the King’s Music, Judith Weir. It will be conducted by The Sixteen’s Artistic Director, Harry Christophers, and the Director of the Schools Singing Programme, Tom Leech.

It begins at 3 pm in Leeds Cathedral and will last for about 45 minutes.
