Introducing the Diocese of Leeds’ newest priest, Fr Benjamin Hilton. On Saturday 20 July, in the presence of family, friends and hundreds of well-wishers from both the clergy and laity, Fr Benjamin was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood by Bishop Marcus.
This is the second Hilton family ordination in Leeds Cathedral in as many years, as Fr Ben now joins his brother, Fr Joshua Hilton as a priest of the Diocese of Leeds. Fr Ben celebrated his first Masses at the Cathedral and in Pontefract the following day. His first appointment will be at St Robert’s Parish, Harrogate, assisting parish priest, Canon James Callaghan.
