‘Christmas as usual’ – in our schools…

Calling all parents, families and friends of Leeds Cathedral Choir School: Holy Rosary and St Anne Catholic Primary School in Chapeltown…!  Thanks to the ‘fairy Godmothers and -fathers’ at the school and in the Parish of Our Lady of Unfailing Help, you SHALL go to the School Nativity Play – virtually…!

Although physical-distancing rules prevent attendance in person, Leeds Cathedral Choir School’s Choral Director, Sally Egan, and Leeds Cathedral videographer, Matt Shears, have found the perfect solution: to film the Nativity, making DVD’s for parents and carers, and showing the performance on the Leeds Cathedral Choir School You Tube Channel.

Reception Class Nativity is TODAY (Tuesday 15 December) at 1.30pm (on the recording, the play begins 10 minutes into the video – it’s beautifully acted, sung – and narrated; thanks also to Miss Marks, Miss Tierney and Miss Hannigan).

Key Stage 1 Children’s Nativity is at 1.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday, 16 December).

Remember, if YOUR school or church has a ‘Christmas as Usual’ story, it can be promoted on this website: just send the details AND a ‘GDPR-compliant’ (i.e with permission) photograph or two to communications@dioceseofleeds.org.uk
