Congratulations to Canon Eugene McGillycuddy, Parish Priest of St Patrick’s, Leeds who was installed as a member of the Cathedral Chapter by Bishop Marcus on Tuesday, 24 September.
Our photograph shows the new Canon seated with members of his family who had travelled from Ireland for the occasion.
Canon McGillycuddy celebrated forty-five years as a priest in June and he
is both a popular and well-known member of the diocesan clergy. A number of his fellow priests attended the Chapter Mass at the Cathedral, along with many of Canon McGillycuddy’s parishioners, past and present.
