Bishop Marcus was welcomed by the retired Bishop of Middlesbrough The Rt Revd Terry Drainey, and the clergy and lay faithful of the Diocese of Middlesbrough, as he ordained Fr Douglas McKittrick to the Sacred Priesthood at St Mary’s Cathedral: his first priestly ordination there since being appointed Apostolic Administrator of Middlesbrough Diocese by the Holy Father in December last year. The Cathedral’s Adult Choir conducted by Stephen Maxson sang for the Mass.
