Parishioners at the Wetherby Parish of St Joseph have raised a truly staggering amount for Ukraine through their Lenten CAFOD Family Fast Day!
The generous parishioners, including one donor who matched the parish’s fundraising pound for pound up to £15,000, dug deep into their pockets to achieve a grand total of almost £60,000 including Gift Aid – in just ONE month!
Parish Priest Canon John Nunan is delighted at his parish’s pro-active response to the crisis – but he is very clear that people should feel able only to give according to their means: ‘Only you know your own circumstances and your own commitments – so only give what you can afford!’
