Catholic Charismatic Renewal at Holy Rosary on 11 May

This last year has been the Golden Jubilee of Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

In England the National Conference was held at the Bethel Centre in West Bromwich, and now the National Service Committee (NSC), as the principal co-ordinating organisation of Catholic Charismatic Renewal in England, is organising five regional ‘Go with Greater Strength’ gatherings.

The Gathering for the North East Region (Hexham & Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Leeds and Hallam) will take place from 11.00 – 3.00 on Saturday, 11 May at Holy Rosary Church, Chapeltown Road, Leeds, LS7 4BZ.

The aim of the day to be hosted by members of the NSC and Network (the youth arm of the NSC) will be to explore a renewed vision for Catholic Charismatic Renewal together. It will be a time to build each other up and encourage each other to step out and ‘face the new’, as Pope Francis calls us to do.

Unity is a key to moving forward in greater strength: unity among ministries and within the Church, unity with other churches, and unity between the generations. The hope is that events such as this will draw together people of all ages involved in Renewal from a variety of ministries and groups.
