The Sunday after Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday. This year Bishop Marcus unveiled an icon of the Divine Mercy at Leeds Cathedral. The Iconographer is Ian Knowles, the Principal of the Bethlehem Icon School: www.bethlehemiconcentre.org
The Bishop said, ‘I asked Ian to write the Icon as I was familiar with the quality of his work but also because of the provenance of the icon: Bethlehem, the place where the Epiphany of the Divine Mercy in human flesh was first revealed in the new born Christ.’
