Cathedral Canons Gather in Walsingham

Four times a year the Canons of Leeds Cathedral meet to transact the business of the Cathedral Chapter and concelebrate Mass at the Cathedral.

Since his appointment in September 2020 as Rector of the National Shrine at Walsingham, Mgr Canon Philip Moger has travelled back to Leeds to attend these gatherings, but in the week of 23 May his fellow Canons went on a short pilgrimage to Walsingham, and he was able to host their meeting there before they celebrated Mass at the Shrine. Their visit comes as Mgr Moger prepares to celebrate his Ruby Jubilee of Priesthood on Sunday 26 June.

Our picture shows members of the Cathedral Chapter gathered at the Shrine.
