The latest in the Diocese of Leeds’ series of resources to help our Catholic children and young people prepare for the celebration of the Sacraments of Penance and Reconciliation (First Confession), Holy Communion and Confirmation is now available.
Heart Speaks to Heart: the Gift of Reconciliation now joins Heart Speaks to Heart: the Gift of Holy Communion and the Confirmation resource, Empowered by the Spirit: the Gift of Confirmation.
During lock-down, catechists in the Vicariate for Education were working hard to prepare materials to help parishes and families deliver sacramental preparation by home learning and video-conferencing. The materials have initially been shared with clergy and catechists in the Leeds Diocese – but Catholic families everywhere will be delighted by the charming stories, fun activities (and lively illustrations by Si Smith), all designed to explain the First Sacraments to children in an engaging way.
