Health and Safety Resources

Volunteers are key to the safe and efficient running of all our parishes, and we are committed to ensuring that volunteers can undertake their work safely.  With that in mind, we have compiled the following resources which are grouped together as shown in the table below.  Most volunteers will only need to complete the “general” modules, but if a volunteer is also active in more specific areas of parish life, there are some more specialist modules available.  Below you will find:

  • Access to a number of free courses designed for use in a group setting.
  • Some quiz style worksheets to help make the training more interactive.
  • A link to an online form to log your training.
  • A link to “St Theresa’s Prayer” which may appeal to some groups who wish to start the group training in a prayerful way.
  • A Facilitator’s Guide: The Facilitators Guide is password protected so if you need access to this please email the Diocesan Health and Safety Officer, Mr Barry Lewis at  Barry.Lewis@dioceseofleeds.org.uk, with the date and location of the training you are offering, and we will be pleased to send you the password.

  • A Certificate of Attendance

  • Template Signing In sheets

If any volunteers would prefer a log in to complete modules individually, please contact Barry Lewis who would be happy to arrange this.

Thank you for your commitment to ensuring the safety of all in our churches.
