For the past SIXTY years, CAFOD has been an official charity, raising money, support and awareness for overseas development!
To mark this major anniversary, the Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission has devoted almost an entire edition of its monthly newsletter to a superb series of short articles, memories and calls to action from just a few of the many Diocese of Leeds clergy and lay faithful volunteers and donors in our parishes and schools who give their tireless support to CAFOD.
The CAFOD ‘Special Edition’ is an excellent read! To share the joys and hopes, pains and sorrows of people of all faiths and none around the world through the heartfelt care and courageous practical action of our CAFOD supporters, please download the newsletter, which has been edited by former Diocese of Leeds Communications volunteer, Bradford (St Blaise Parish) parishioner, and member of J&P’s ‘SPARK Voices’ group, Matthew Maslen.
HAPPY 60th ANNIVERSARY, CAFOD!

If, like Anne Forbes, Helen Humphries, Chukwuemeka Innocent Nwachukwu, Fr Gerard Kearney, Madeline Woods and Matthew Maslen, you have – or know of – any story, initiative or event in YOUR parish, school or charity which could inspire others across our Diocesan Family, please do send a write-up, or even the briefest of details, with a photograph (or two!) to firstname.lastname@example.org
