Readers of the Word

Readers of the Word have a most important role proclaiming Sacred Scripture during the Liturgy of the Word.

This involves more than simply the task of reading aloud: Readers of the Word should be people formed by the Word of God, reflecting on the holy Scripture daily, and praying what they are called to share with others. They should be examples of devotion to God’s Word.

This is a high calling indeed: as Readers we proclaim God’s Word and bring it to life.
