We produced a report with the details of the findings of the Caritas Leeds Criminal Justice Inquiry.
It details the process of the inquiry, the method, analysis and the themes that we found in the evidence.
Our first research question was: What are the experiences of people involved in the criminal justice system within the area covered by the Diocese of Leeds?
The second question we asked was: How can our Diocese at all levels better serve them and promote positive change within the system?
Themes from this report informed the recommendations that we made to the Diocese of Leeds.
Our aim was to consider Catholic Social teaching and other reports produced by the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales in our analysis.
We found statistics about our local crime rates, prison and other matters.
