The Ministry of Hospitality
As we enter our parish church, the people we first meet are there to Welcome us.
This is, perhaps, the most important ministry of all – since if we are not welcomed how can we feel we belong?
Yet the Ministry of Hospitality also involves many unseen – and perhaps unappreciated – forms of service:
Keeping the church clean
Arranging flowers and other symbols
Arranging seating
Keeping people safe
If you would like to help in any way in your parish, speak with your parish priest.
The Liturgy Office of The Catholic Church in England and Wales has produced a guide for those involved in the ministry of Hospitality at Mass.
