Relationship Counselling

A low-cost service offered in partnership with Marriage Care through one or more 50-minute sessions with you and your partner, or alone if you prefer.

All relationships have ups and downs. Sometimes, though, things can get a bit stuck and it’s hard to find a positive solution. That’s when help from a skilled couple relationship counsellor can make all the difference. That’s why Caritas Leeds is pleased to be able to offer this support through Marriage Care, a fellow member of the Caritas Social Action Network. Whether you are feeling things just aren’t quite right or whether you are encountering serious difficulties, we are here to listen and to support you towards a positive outcome.

Many organisations and GPs refer people to Marriage Care but you can contact them directly to register for the counselling service. The service is open to all over 18 seeking help with their relationship. Counselling helps you take time out from your situation and see it from a fresh perspective. Working with a counsellor gives you, or you and your partner, a chance to think about what you can do to change your situation for the better. It can also give you a chance to explore complex or difficult issues in a safe and confidential environment.

All counsellors have gone through a rigorous selection and training process and receive regular supervision and ongoing professional development to ensure good practice is maintained.
