Lourdes Pilgrimage

Accommodation in Lourdes

Hotels tend to offer diocesan groups full board packages.  This includes a continental breakfast, a three-course lunch and a four-course dinner.  If you have a special diet, please complete your requirements on the booking form.

Occasionally, bed & breakfast options are available, but this is often limited to smaller hotels.

All Lourdes hotels serve meals at the same time.  Many hotel restaurants are accessed by lifts and are located on the first floor or the lower ground floor.  The Hotel Mediteranee and Alba both have restaurants at the ground floor level.

All hotels offer single, twin, double, triple or family rooms.

If you prefer a single room, please be aware of the single room supplement when booking.  This is set by the hotels, not the tour operator.

Most hotels offer a limited number of full disabled access bathrooms.  They also offer walk-in-showers, though these may be small and some may have a small step.  Please make clear on your booking form what type of room you require.

Some hotels do not have air-conditioning in all rooms.

Hotels offered on the Leeds Pilgrimage

Hotel Padoue

The Hotel Padoue is a 4-star hotel, with air-conditioning in all rooms

We now use the Padoue as our ‘main’ hotel.

We reserve a number of rooms, some specifically for those pilgrims who need support from the clinical team.

All pilgrims registering for support should book this hotel.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer care support to pilgrims in other hotels, other than wheelchair assistance between hotel and venues for Services

The hotel is situated close to St. Joseph’s Gate and therefore has easy access to the Domain area of Lourdes.  A number of bars, cafes and shops are within easy walking distance of the hotel.

The Padoue is a bright, modern hotel, with a pleasant lounge/bar area on the ground floor and some outside pavement seating.

We host our own café/entertainment in the meeting rooms on the lower ground floor.  All Leeds pilgrims are welcome to join us and details will be available in the handbook.

Hotel Eliseo

The Hotel Eliseo is close to the Padoue.  A similar 4-star hotel offering similar facilities.

The hotel is accessed via a steep slope so not recommended for wheelchair users.

Hotel Roissy

Another 4-star hotel, the Roissy is situated next to the Padoue.  This hotel has easy access for wheelchair users.

Hotel La Solitude

A firm favourite among Leeds pilgrims, our ‘main’ hotel before moving to the Padoue in 2023.  The Solitude is a 4-star hotel.

Direct access is not possible from the coach, on arrival and departure.

Pilgrims must be able to carry/transfer their luggage from the coach, across a busy road and up a slightly inclining side street.

Some rooms have been updated in 2023.

Hotel Mediterannee & Hotel Alba

These 4-star hotels are situated further away from St. Joseph’s Gate.

The Leeds youth are accommodated here, so the hotels are busy and bustling with the bright shirts and bright smiles of around 300 young people.

Hotel Esplanade Eden

This small 3-star hotel is around a 15/20-minute walk from St. Joseph’s Gate.  The rooms do not have air-conditioning.

Hotel Beau Site

This 3-star hotel is around a 10-minute walk from St. Joseph’s Gate.  Some rooms have air-conditioning.

St. Georges Hotel

A 3-star hotel offering similar facilities and close to the Beau Site.
