Some good news from the newly-established Union of Catholic Mothers (UCM) in the thriving Catholic Parish of St Joseph’s, Castleford…!

After reading the Diocesan News item posted on 4 September and in response to Pope Francis’ invitation for all people to get involved in prayerful and practical ways in caring for our environment, St Joseph’s Union of Catholic Mothers (UCM) decided to organise a litter pick.

Parishioner and UCM Secretary, Carol Sidebottom said:

‘Although a first for St Joseph’s Parish the good news is it won’t be the last, because having received so many positive comments from local people whilst doing the litter pick we’ve decided to organise more litter picks in the local area!’
