Walsingham Pilgrimage on Saturday 25 September 2021

The Annual Leeds Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham is back!

Detailed travel and transport information has primarily been arranged at parish and deanery level – but news just in is that Leeds Cathedral has now put on an extra coach, so please contact the Cathedral Office ASAP via office.cathedral@dioceseofleeds.org.uk if you would like to sign up to travel with the Cathedral Parish …!

The Pilgrimage Schedule will be:

12.00 Noon – Angelus and the celebration of Holy Mass at the Shrine located near the Slipper Chapel.

The Mass will be followed by a break for Lunch. Please be aware and pass this information on to anyone who needs to know, that catering facilities at the Shrine in Walsingham are currently much reduced in comparison with previous years. Hot and cold drinks will be available, as well as snacks such as biscuits and chocolate, but it is unlikely that anything more substantial such as sandwiches will be available, so pilgrims should bring something with them for lunch…!

2.30pm  – Solemn Procession into the village of Walsingham, concluding with Vespers and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in the grounds of the Ancient Shrine around 4.30pm.
