Stonyhurst’s Christian Heritage Centre is Worth a Closer Look

The Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst in Lancashire exists to create greater access to the wealth of Christian heritage housed at Stonyhurst College. The libraries and collections, amassed by the Society of Jesus, have been used over the centuries to teach and inspire. The aim is to continue in this tradition by providing facilities for education and study, Christian leadership training and religious retreat opportunities.

The Centre has supported the refurbishment of the Historic Libraries and Museum at Stonyhurstand and the historic water mill set within the beautiful grounds of Stonyhurst College has been restored and converted at a cost of over £4 million into a residential and education facility named Theodore House.  It  includes a Chapel, seminar rooms, library and bedrooms. A total of 25 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite, offer either single or twin, are for the most part situated on the first floor of Theodore House. Four are found in the annexe which, having its own entrance, is ideally suited to family or other small groups.
