St William’s Acts of Kindness

On 23 March, the anniversary of the first ‘lockdown’, pupils and staff at St William’s Catholic Primary School in Bradford gathered to remember those who have died during the Covid-19 pandemic and to give thanks for all the key workers who have helped us keep going over the past year.

The pupils brought and made daffodils as a symbol of hope for the future, which were then taken to a local care home. Such acts of kindness have been characteristic of so many inspirational people during the last year and the children wanted to follow their example.

Head Teacher Fiona Parker said, ‘Our school family has been touched in a variety of ways during this time and it is important for all of us to celebrate all that is good and remember those and the families of those who are no longer here.’
