Two of the Faith In Action Group at St. Urban’s Primary School in Leeds (accompanied by members of staff) went to the St Vincent’s Centre on York Road, Leeds recently to deliver all of the food donated by children and families from the school and parishioners from St. Jeanne Jugan in Headingley, after the Harvest Mass together on Sunday 8 October.
The Staff at St. Vincent’s invited all the Faith In Action group to come back sometime soon over the next term to have a talk about food poverty. This will undoubtedly teach the pupils a lot about how to value what we have, help those who don’t have much, and learn the importance of reaching out and accepting help when it is needed.
