Renaissance in Ripon!

This is a ‘must’ for lovers of music and architecture: to experience Choral Renaissance in a Gothic Revival masterpiece!

Designed by two of the most renowned Catholic architects of the Gothic Revival, Joseph Hansom and Edward Pugin, St Wilfrid’s Catholic Church in Ripon is one of the treasures of the Diocese of Leeds.  With its beautiful setting, superb acoustic and plenty of parking, the church is set to become one of our finest music venues – and has already attracted distinguished international attention.

The Choir and Trombone Quartet of the University of Texas El Paso are visiting the Diocese of Leeds in October to join Leeds Cathedral Choir for a Gala Concert of Renaissance choral music at St Wilfrid’s Church on Sunday, 13 October at 3.30 pm.

Tickets are £10 from Charles Foulds on 07813 832231 or charles.foulds55@gmail.com – with all proceeds going towards the St Wilfrid’s Restoration Appeal Fund.
