Polish Catholic Parish Procession through Bradford

More than 300 people from Bradford’s thriving Polish Catholic Parish processed through the city on Sunday in honour of Boże Ciało – the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

This wonderful act of dignified public witness and joyful devotion was blessed with gloriously sunny weather. Rose petals were strewn before the Blessed Sacrament, as Our Lord was borne through the streets and into the Church of Our Lady of Czestochowa.

After Parish Priest Fr Waldemar Hareza had celebrated Holy Mass, the Feast was celebrated with more ‘feasting’, as the children’s rose-petal baskets were re-filled with treats and keepsakes and the whole community gathered to enjoy traditional Polish food and drinks!
