Living well with Dementia: The Carer’s Tale

New! on the Caritas Leeds YouTube Channel!

‘The Carer’s Tale’ is a series of short clips from an interview with Maureen Crossley which may help, comfort or inspire people ‘living well’ with dementia and those who love and care for them.

Maureen and her late husband Mike were members of the Caritas Leeds Dementia Forum in the Diocese of Leeds. They contributed to the book ‘Journeying Together: accompanying people living with dementia’ by Deacon Joseph Cortis and Pia Matthews. In this short weekly series, Maureen tells just some of that story of accompaniment along life’s pilgrim way …

This week, Maureen explains how she and Mike got involved in telling their story for a ground-breaking book published by Redemptorist Publications and available to order here: https://www.rpbooks.co.uk/journeying-together

The book was launched on 27 June 2023 with the kind support of our partners at Leeds Church Institute: https://lcileeds.org/

Next week … Maureen explains why she has chosen to share their story – and also shares just a few of her top tips for people caring for a loved one with dementia at home.
