The ‘Little Bits of God’ mosaic commissioned as part of the God Who Speaks initiative is coming to Leeds Cathedral from Saturday 14 January until Thursday 9 February.
The visit will be launched at the 12noon Mass on Saturday 14 January 2023 followed by a talk about the mosaic by the project lead, Fleur Dorrell.
Parish groups are welcome, as are individual visitors, to view the mosaic which will be housed in the Cathedral’s north transept and will be accessible to be visited when the Cathedral is open outside of liturgy times.
There will be resources available to explain the mosaic and on some days (dates to be confirmed) there will be people on hand to give a ‘tour’ of this special work of art which was created by artist Pete Codling as part of the 2020 ‘Year of the Word: the God Who Speaks’ anniversary marking the 1,600 years since the death of St Jerome.

The Cathedral is open Mondays from 11am – 6.15pm, Tuesdays – Fridays 7.45am – 6.15pm and Saturdays 10.30am – 7.15pm. Although the Cathedral is open on Sundays, visits to the mosaic will be very limited, owing to the number of liturgies on that day.
