Life Transfigured – First in a Series of Talks on 18 January

Life Transfigured is our major series of talks for 2022, which brings a range of exciting artists, musicians, theologians and other speakers to the Diocese to discuss the relationship between Catholic faith and the Arts.

The first talk will be on January 18, from 7-8pm: WHY WE NEED THE BEAUTIFUL: How our faith is nourished by art.

Our speaker will be Fleur Dorrell, who works with the Bible Society and the Catholic Bishops’ Conference to promote Catholic engagement with Scripture. Fleur, who has degrees in Theology and Art History, will be leading us in considering the role which the visual arts can play in nourishing our faith.
