The SSP does much more than just fulfilling the requirements for the school music curriculum; it is the training ground for young singers who want to become members of our Diocesan Choirs which enhance worship at the Cathedral, in many parishes and in regular broadcasts on the BBC.
… and the singing isn’t just for the young people in our Diocesan Choirs … THIS SUNDAY (12 July) at 3pm there’s a chance to join in on YouTube with recordings made individually during lock-down and then edited together by SSP and BKCAT Youth Choir Choral Director, Charlotte Kitson. Until we can return to singing in church, sing along with Hymns at Home: one diocese, many voices – subtitled, well-known Catholic hymns on our YouTube channel www.schoolssingingprogramme.org.uk
