The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) has written to all Catholic dioceses regarding an urgent matter.
Last March the Westminster Government (along with the Welsh and Scottish Governments) allowed abortion providers to send women pills in the post so that they can perform their own abortion at home. This is supposed to be a temporary measure during the pandemic, but now the Department of Health is holding public consultations in both England and Wales on whether to make this practice permanent.
Every pro-life voice counts in this consultation, and it is important that Catholics across England and Wales speak out. SPUC has asked that as many pro-life people as possible complete the Government’s Department of Health questionnaire to help stop these ‘DIY’ abortions becoming permanent.
The consultation ends on 26 February 2021, so please consider responding now to the Department of Health and Social Care to stop home abortions.
