Good News for St Wilfrid’s, Featherstone – from Ofsted

Dr Philip Dore, Headteacher of St Wilfrid’s High School at Featherstone writes:

“We have been incredibly proud to see the resilience, achievements and success of our students throughout the pandemic. Our wonderful students and staff make St Wilfrid’s the special place it is. Working with young people and families is a privilege and we could not be prouder of our whole school community.

We were delighted to be able to write to parents last week to let them know that St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College was graded as a GOOD school in our recent Ofsted Inspection. The criteria to be graded as a GOOD school are vast, wide-ranging, highly demanding and require significant and substantial evidence. We are very pleased with the outcome.

The report praised the work and commitment of students, parents, staff, governors, the Trust and the Diocese”.

Lesley Fitton, CEO of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust added: “I am delighted and exceptionally proud that Ofsted has acknowledged the staff’s dedication and determination to provide the best education possible to the young people who attend St. Wilfrid’s.”

Students joined together to celebrate the recent OFSTED Report that judged St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College as GOOD.
