Bradford Returns to the Beda

During the summer one of our current seminarians undertook a four-week pastoral placement in the parish of Mary Mother of God, Bradford.

Philip Thornley is studying for the priesthood at the Pontifical Beda College in Rome, and has recently returned there for the start of the new academic year. During his time in Bradford he kept a video diary of his experiences, working with Parish Priest, Mgr. Paul Grogan, parish staff, volunteers and parishioners. Together these short videos, posted during August and September, provide us with a real insight into modern-day parish ministry and the formation of today’s priests.

We are are indebted to Philip for creating the videos, which can be accessed via the Vocations section of the Diocesan Website: https://www.dioceseofleeds.org.uk/priestly_vocations/pastoral-placement-a-seminarian-talks-about-his-experience/

At the same time we wish Philip all the best during the coming year and with his studies at the Beda.
