Fountains Abbey Mass 2019

This year’s Mass at Fountain’s Abbey is for the Feast of St Benedict and takes place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday 11 July 2019 in the covered undercroft: the Abbey’s Cellarium. The principal celebrant will be Canon James Callaghan, Parish Priest of St Robert’s, Harrogate.

Entry is via the Visitors’ Centre where there is ample parking; a shuttle bus is available for those who find the walk too much. Disabled access is via the West Gate where all parking is reserved for the disabled.  Special arrangements can be made for wheelchairs.

We are grateful to the National Trust for ensuring free entry to the site for all those attending this Mass. Please see the attached poster for more details:   2019_FountainsAbbey_Mass Flyer 2019

This year, the Mass will be a particularly moving occasion for all those remembering Fr Angelo Phillips, who died in March, and who had organised and supported the Fountains Mass since its inception.  May he Rest in Peace.
