Today is the Feast Day of St Rose of Lima, Patroness of Peru.
Our Diocese has a long and warm relationship with Peru which goes back more than 50 years.
We have an annual Advent Sunday Special Collection and there is special devotion in certain parishes for that other great Peruvian Saint, St Martin de Porres – but the members of our Peru Commission and the partner charities and parish we support in one of the poorest parts of Lima work tirelessly all year round.
