Safeguarding Sunday 2024

November 17, 2024

 Safeguarding is EVERYBODY’S business!

Today is Safeguarding Sunday across ALL Churches, when we particularly affirm our culture of Safeguarding the young and the vulnerable across the many parish communities which together make up our One Diocesan Family.

This is the start of this year’s Leeds Safeguarding Week – 18-22 November 2024 and it’s also National Safeguarding Adults Week.

We remember in prayer all victims and survivors of any kind of abuse, their families and friends, and all who work or volunteer in the field of Safeguarding:

Prayers for Safeguarding Sunday

For reminders that Safeguarding is Everybody’s Business throughout the Church’s year, keep an eye on this Events Calendar for our Safeguarding Saints’ Days: when we can pray for healing, justice and protection with all the Saints whose own lives here on earth were affected by abuse, neglect or trafficking.
Our next Safeguarding Saints’ Day is on 6 December, the Feast of St Nicholas, Patron Saint of Children.
