A Year of Hope: An Introduction to the Jubilee Year with the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD)

2025 is a Jubilee year, but what does that mean? How will the Church be celebrating it? What can I do?

CAFOD’s introduction to the Jubilee will have special guests including Fr Jan Nowotnik, Director of Mission for the Catholic Bishop’s Conference, Christine Allen, CAFOD Director, and Kayode Akintola, CAFOD’s Head of Africa. Also featuring a guest appearance by Catholic super-group Ooberfuse!

CAFOD has also produced a Jubilee 2025 Reflection Guide to help parishes, groups and individuals to prepare for the Jubilee year. It is available as an online download or a booklet to order from CAFOD’s website, the guide has reflections on different themes within Luke 4:16-21 and is suitable for individual or group use over the course of four sessions, or only one session if preferred.
