This year CAFOD’s Harvest Fast Day appeal falls on Friday 4 October. As Christians we are invited to imitate Jesus in sharing what we have with others. As well as donations, we are sharing hope, and CAJED livelihoods projects, Goma, DRC is one of many stories of hope that support for CAFOD brings about for the benefit of all our global family! 

Daniel, 21, comes from a family of 12 children. He was not able to go to school and struggled to get work in Goma, DRC. Since Daniel became involved in the CAFOD’s CAJED carpentry project, he has learned new skills and is now able to earn money to help his family who all live in Goma and to make sure he has food to eat. He finished the training in 2022 and has been able to set up his own workshop, with CAJED’s support. This is all thanks to the generosity of our Catholic communities in England and Wales!
