Why not walk St Wilfrid’s Way …
This year’s Pilgrimage from Leeds Cathedral to Ripon is on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October 2023.

Since 2026, the Annual St Wilfrid’s Way Diocesan ‘Camino’ has been walked over two days on the nearest Friday and Saturday around the time of St Wilfrid’s Feast Day (12 October). Pilgrims may walk either all or ANY part of the Camino (either staying overnight en route OR going home). All those volunteering to provide hospitality, sustenance or transport for the walkers are pilgrims too – and are especially welcome!
St Wilfrid’s Way is in stages, which may be walked either one stage at a time OR in its entirety over two days. The route follows country tracks and paths and is designed to avoid major roads whilst still being within easy reach of the A61, ‘bus services and the railway stations at Leeds, Harrogate and Knaresborough.
